TEHRAN -- Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines has outlined a special plan to channel the capitals of Iranian expatriates, ICCIM Head Mohammad Nahavandian said here Friday.

Nahavandian and Iran’s ambassador in Ireland discussed economic cooperation between the two states, underlining the IT cooperation development.
“Ireland comes among the countries that took benefit from globalization process by a well understanding of its foothold,” the ICCIM chief said, pointing to the state’s rapid economic growth in the past decade.
“Depending on knowledge-centered industries and creating a desirable business environment, Ireland reached a lofty economic position.”
Praising Ireland’s globalization experience, he called for stepping up cooperation between the embassy and the Center for Studies on Globalization in a bid to study Ireland’s interaction with globalization.
Denis Linehan, a social and cultural geographer, has said, “In many ways, Ireland presents an ideal model of what happens to a country which opens itself up to the forces of globalization.”
“As an open economy, Ireland’s reliance on open-trading markets, inward investment, and information technology mirrors many aspects of the neo-liberal economic strategies promoted by the WTO.”
“A great deal of this growth has been facilitated by the Irish state’s encouragement of globalization, through its support of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
